Grandma Long lives in Illinois and will be 104 years old this year. Grandma Long's grand-daughter, Sharon Hopkins, from Houston, is the person who gave me the recipe for the cafe's pie crust.  This pic was taken 3 years ago when Pat Sharpe, food editor or TEXAS MONTHLY, published the pie crust recipe. We sent her a pie and a copy of the article....and she posed for this pic at her C'mas table with the article and pie.

The pic of her raising the pie rolling pin was taken when she was at the cafe and I asked her to make a pie crust with me. She told me that my crusts were to thick. I told her that we have been making them that way for all these years and wasn't going to change!!! She is such a wonderul character!!!
