I love eating the OYSTERS CONTRABAND appetizers at Evangeline Cafe on Brodie in South Austin, which I won't share an order with anyone....get your own! These are fried oysters on a homemade potato chip topped with a spicy remulade sauce. I always then have the fried oyster po-boy on a homemade po-boy loaf. And finish the meal with the pecan praline pistolette....basically a cajun sopapilla! NOTE ~ I'ld put this right there with our apple pie....hands down! Oh yes, have to have a bowl of their stewed tomato & okra.
